Philanthropy Events

Protecting the gift of sight is one of Delta Gamma's highest priorities. Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, holds such a special place in all our hearts so raising awareness of visual impairments and raising funds for this cause is very important to us. Each year, we hold two events that allow us to promote and raise funds for our cause. 

In the fall, we host our annual swimming tournament, Anchor Splash. Fellow UC Merced students create teams for our tournament and compete with one another to win. At Anchor Splash, we also host the Anchor Man Pageant in which men from our campus are able to showcase their talents in order to become our Anchor Man for the year. 

In the Spring, we host our annual basketball tournament, Anchor Slam. While this event is very similar to our fall event, the major difference is that we host "Most Beautiful Eyes" rather than the pageant. Men and women may participate in this event.
