Delta Gamma

Letter from Recruitment Chair

Joining Delta Gamma was not a hard decision. I went through recruitment my freshman year with an open mind, ready to develop new bonds. As I stepped into the Delta Gamma room, I know right then and there that I felt at home. The vibes and conversations I had with the sisters are unforgettable. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and that just made my recruitment so much more exciting. I cannot tell you how many doors it has opened up for me and I am forever thankful for becoming part of something bigger.

I think one of the biggest pieces of advice that I can give to anyone would be to go through recruitment with an open mind. I believe that everyone should give recruitment a chance even if you feel like that's not entirely you. Come out, be yourself with our sisters, and most importantly do not be afraid! I was terrifed when I went through recruitment. I was scared that I wouldn't fit in or that no sorority would pick me. However, once I entered the Delta Gamma doors, I knew I could be myself and I really felt like I fit in.

This is such a great opportunity for you to expand your networking skills. This sorority is not just for four years, it's for life! I got to meet the girls that I now call my sisters. We've had such great memories throughout these couple of years that I've been in DG. I know that if I ever need help or advice or anything at all, I can count on my sisters because they have my back. It is such a great feeling to have this great support group and I wouldn't trade it for a thing!

Come out to recruitment and get a feel of Greek life, it will surprise you! And most importantly, don't forget to be yourself because everyone is unique in their own way.

Love,

Ludmila Nicov
